📚 Why Don’t All Books Have Pictures?
When you’re little, most books you read are filled with pictures. They help tell the story and show what’s happening. But as you get older, you’ll notice something… fewer pictures!
Why? Because your brain is getting better at visualizing—that means seeing pictures in your mind while you read. Authors use descriptive words to help readers imagine characters, places, and actions without needing drawings.
Books without pictures give your imagination a workout. You can picture things your own way, instead of being shown every detail.
But no matter how old you are, books come in all types. Some have illustrations, some don’t. Some are made to be read alone, and others are perfect for reading aloud. What matters most is finding books you enjoy and having a place to keep them safe.
That’s where bookcases come in!
A bookcase holds your favorite stories, facts, and adventures in one place. A great bookcase is strong, organized, and made to fit all kinds of books—big, small, thick, or thin.
